CCRA (College and Career Readiness Assessment) District Choice Letter

The State of Oklahoma allows each school district to choose between the SAT and the ACT exam for the required College and Career Readiness Assessment all juniors must complete. The CCRA is a graduation requirement set by the State of Oklahoma.

We would like to take this opportunity to provide you with some information regarding state testing for ALL11th grade students enrolled at Oktaha High School for the 2023 – 2024 school year. As well as allowing our stakeholders the opportunity to provide feedback regarding our district’s choice of the ACT exam as the College and Career Readiness Assessment.

Oktaha High School has chosen the ACT for several reasons:

  • All colleges and universities in Oklahoma accept the ACT for entrance to college.
  • This is the assessment that the majority of our students use to apply for college.
  • Most students are more familiar with the ACT testing format.
  • We offer students an ACT Prep class during the school day in order to prepare them for this test.

It has always been our goal to prepare our students to do their best on the ACT exam, and we will continue to prepare our students throughout the 2023 – 2024 school year.   If you have any questions or concerns regarding our decision to administer the ACT exam, please use the Google Form below to provide feedback. The link will be open until Friday, October 1, 2023.
